You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional crisis than someone experiencing a heart attack. Learn how to help a friend, family member, coworker or neighbor in need.
By the end of the workshop, participants will learn:
- The warning signs for a range of mental health needs, including: depression, anxiety/trauma, substance use disorders, and self-injury.
- An understanding of the prevalence of various mental health disorders in the U.S. and the need for reduced stigma in their communities
- The professional, peer, social, and self-help resources available to help someone with a mental health need.
CEUs are available for North Dakota Nurses and Social Workers
