Mental Health Training

Mental Health Awareness is a four-hour training.  It will teach signs and symptoms that may show that someone is developing a mental health condition. A person you know could be experiencing a mental health or substance abuse concern. Learn how to help.

You are more likely to encounter someone in an emotional crisis than someone experiencing a heart attack. Learn how to help a friend, family member, coworker or neighbor in need.

Skills Obtained

By the end of the workshop, participants will learn:

  • The warning signs for a range of mental health needs, including: depression, anxiety/trauma, substance use disorders, and self-injury.
  • An understanding of the prevalence of various mental health disorders in the U.S. and the need for reduced stigma in their communities
  • The professional, peer, social, and self-help resources available to help someone with a mental health need.

CEUs are available for North Dakota Nurses and Social Workers

The class is October 28  from 1:00-5:00pm (Please note this was changed from a two-day to a one-day training)
