Crisis Services

Services we can provide when you need help.

24-Hour FirstLink 211 Helpline

Dial 2-1-1 or 701-235-SEEK (7335) if you are wondering about local community resources or if you would like listening and support.

24-Hour Suicide Lifeline

FirstLink’s Suicide Lifeline, 1-800-273-TALK (8255), is connected to a national network of crisis services, so no call for help is unanswered.  Our Call Specialists help those who are having thoughts of suicide themselves, or who have a concern about someone.

Crisis Phone Services

Crisis Service Agencies contract with FirstLink to answer their phones after hours.

Community Information

FirstLink maintains a database of community resources that contains primarily nonprofit agencies, health and human services agencies, and government resources. You can search the database by clicking below on the “Community Resources” link. Our Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria describes which agencies and organizations are appropriate to be included or not included in the database.

Caring Contacts

FirstLink offers Caring Contacts, a program that receives referrals from hospitals and clinics across North Dakota as well as the 211 Helpline and the National Suicide Prevention Line. The program offers informal resources and coping strategies, encourages mental health treatment, and provides non-judgmental listening and support. Calls are offered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly and work around your schedule.

Community Navigator for Addiction

The Community Navigator assists people in finding treatment and recovery resources through personal connection, follow-up  and encouragement. Dial 2-1-1 if you or someone you know is in need of help for drugs or alcohol.
