What Is FirstLink?
FirstLink provides live-saving telephone support by answering the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and 211 Information & Referral Helpline for North Dakota and parts of western Minnesota.
988 is a free, confidential service offering listening and support, crisis intervention, and safety planning to anyone in need.
211 is also free and confidential, providing information on local community resources, and a friendly listening ear.
Support doesn’t stop when the call disconnects.
FirstLink is proud to provide ongoing support to those in need through our Care & Support Program. The Care & Support team offers ongoing follow up calls to individuals struggling with thoughts of suicide, concerning substance use, or any other mental health challenge. Calls are offered on a regular basis, free of charge, for as long as the individual needs support.

FirstLink is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those in need. Our phone lines are operational no matter what.
Disaster strikes? FirstLink will continue to answer phones. Our role would then include providing valuable updates or mobile resource details.
Record-breaking blizzard? Our team is ready, willing, and able to camp out in our office until the snow clears. Someone will always be here for you!
Power or internet outage? FirstLink has the infrastructure to remain available even when our community is facing communication challenges. We will still answer your call!
